A trench from the well to the pump house

Our contractor was waiting for permit information so to stay busy he dug a trench to house power and water pipe from the well to the pump house (to be). The length of the trench was almost 300 feet

His huge excavator dug down to reveal the geology of the soil on our property. Clearly, a layer of top soil about 18 inches lays atop a deep layer of compacted clay and glacial till. This was a representative view of the ground elsewhere that we intended to build on.

Later, after power had reached the pump house other contractors ran conduit for power to the well pump and a water pipe.

Now we were ready for a pump house, but that was still some time off.
