Our first night in the trailer
We had limited access to our house. We could still shower and make coffee there. But we decided this was the day to move our personal items and bedding to the trailer. Just in case we brought the small electric space heater, ‘cause who knows?
We were depending on the propane furnace to keep us warm during the night and day. Around midnight I noticed our bed was really cold and I checked the indoor thermometer, which read 41 degrees. Waking up to this was a shock! It turned out to be the coldest day of the week - down to 21 degrees.
We switched to the small electric space heater, which was adequate once the outside temperature warmed. At night, extra blankets had to be enough.
There was propane in the tank, but the propane regulator had quit working. The challenge was finding a replacement regulator because there was a nationwide shortage of these - an extensive recall of units had exhausted supplies.
This meant more nights with the small electric heater and extra blankets.
