The shed had to go!

The shed was good temporary storage, but it wasn't secure and it occupied space we needed for lawn and drainage.

First I tore down the south wall so I could remove my garden framework for hoop house and low tents. Then I removed everything in the secure storage building. and returned the dismantled building to Mark, who had graciously loaned it to us a year earlier.

On the fateful day, a large excavator arrived to take the horse barn down.

Contractors use the term demolishing and that is what happens. Every part of the building from roof to concrete floor was completely trashed, with no thought of recycling.  (I thought there were some recyclable timbers, but everything was crumpled and broken.)

They hauled away everything even the broken slabs of concrete. I never found out exactly where they disposed of these.
